Last night the kids, Jarrek and I went to watch the A&M soccer game. It was so much fun! Keaton said it best, "This is what a REAL soccer game looks like!" Tatum cheered like she was best friends with the players, calling them by name and screaming words of encouragement. Well, the game didn't start until 7:30 so by the time we got there we were all starving. We got hot dogs and drinks and found our seats. We later enjoyed some popcorn as well...what is it about sporting events that brings on massive hunger? Tatum began complaining about her stomach hurting. HELLO...she ate her hot dog, some of my hamburger, popcorn and had a Sprite. We chalked it up to "stuffing your face". When we got home and finally got into bed (around 10:30) she was still complaining. I told her to try to sleep and call if she needed me. At 12:45 she called...she had thrown up in bed. So, at 12:45 in the morning I cleaned her bed, gave her a shower and got her into our room for the rest of the night. There were no more problems so at 7:00 this morning we started to get ready for soccer. She doesn't play until 11 and by that time her stomach was hurting again. She choose to play anyway...to help her team. Tatum went out there and played her little heart out, although a little slower than most days. Every now and then she would complain, sit out for a few minutes and then get right back in the game. I was so proud of her, she even scored a few goals.
Keaton's game
You wouldn't even recognize Keaton's team! They have gone from the kids that just stood there while the other team scored to kicking major boo-ta! The whole team has really improved in their skills and stamina...they can actually play the whole 2 minutes with out 'wondering'. Keaton has become a 'real' soccer player. I think he made 2 goals today! When the game was over he was so proud of himself.
Aunt Shawna and Brody came to watch the kids play soccer. Brody wanted to get out there and kick the ball with the big kids.
